Very good Pleasure Island 1996 Pink Fairies reunion effort, this title was released by drummer Twink's own label, Twink Records of a limited edition of 1,000 copies. So, obviously 'Pleasure Island' is often hard to find. Don't think it's ever been reissued after that. Looks like 'Pleasure…' has just just two players, of Twink-drums and Paul Rudolph-bass&vocalist. Couldn't tell you if anyone else appeared on this CD or not. 'Pleasure…' is some fine psych/raw punk with an edge to it. "As Above,So Below" is basic well played '70's rock and roll revived. I found "Man With A Golden Gun" to be somewhat refreshing and "Jungle Drums" shows you,just what Twink is truly capable of. For a true mind-blower,put on the headphones to fully experience the 32-minute "Cargoe In Jamaica".

Lou Reed has hogged the spotlight since the breakup of the legendary Velvet Underground, but his former bandmate John Cale has had a much more consistent solo career. Cale never scored a breakthrough hit like Reed's "Walk On the Wild Side," but this new two-CD collection of Cale's mid-'70s releases-including all of the Fear, Slow Dazzle, and Helen of Troy albums plus assorted unreleased rarities-is the perfect opportunity to reassess his influential merger of art-rock smarts, classical melodicism, theatrical drama, and punk-rock abandon. Cuts range from beautiful, lulling ballads such as "Buffalo Ballet" and "I Keep A Close Watch" to full-throttle sensory assaults like "Fear Is A Man's Best Friend" and an Elvis Presley cover that will make your blood run cold. An explosive effort that every fan should have! The Misfits - Box Set is a coffin-shaped CD package that exhaustively covers all the releases the late-'70s/early-'80s version of the group put out (the exception being Walk Among Us due to a label-rights situation). The first 2 discs feature, respectively, the material on the 2 collection releases and Legacy of Brutality, Evilive, and Earth A.D.. The third compiles a slew of different demo and recording sessions, including the original trio lineup (with Danzig on electric piano). The fourth presents the planned-but-never-released-as-such Static Age for the first time. The accompanying booklet features a great band history from then-roadie/photographer and future Danzig bassist Eerie Von, complete lyrics for every song, a slew of amazing photographs from concerts and other shoots, and an exhaustive discography.

Double-bill of cult horror from controversial director Jess Franco. In 'Devil's Island Lovers', a young couple are framed for murder and and imprisoned in a sadistic camp somewhere in South America, where they have to face the sinister attentions of the brutal prison warden. In 'Night of the Assassins', a group of relatives have arrived at a dark and sinister mansion for the reading of a will, little knowing that there is a crazed, masked killer hiding in the shadows.

Mysterious satellite images lead an archaeologist to investigate a cemetery on Devil's Island, the notorious penal colony in the tropics of South America; what he finds there reveals evidence of grisly executions that fueled a shark feeding frenzy.

This is a promotional CD single featuring a radio edit and an instrumental mix of the song. This was released by Flavor Unit via EastWest/Elektra.
