“A Smoky Mountain Christmas,” was originally featured in Parton’s 1986 holiday film of the same name. On several songs, Parton is joined by guest performers, including Michael Bublé, Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley Cyrus, Jimmy Fallon, Willie Nelson, and her late brother, Randy. The album produced four singles: “Mary, Did You Know?” “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus,” “Christmas On The Square,” and the top 10 AC hit “Cuddle Up, Cozy Down Christmas” with Bublé. -“Three Candles” and “The Wish Book” – originally released as digital only bonus tracks will make their CD and LP debuts on the Ultimate Deluxe Edition.
Once again proving there’s nothing she can’t do, living country legend Dolly Parton released her debut novel, Run, Rose, Run, alongside best-selling author James Patterson. The thriller tells the story of an up-and-coming Nashville songwriter escaping her past, with an accompanying album of the same name offering a fitting soundtrack. Comprising 12 brand-new Parton-penned and -produced songs, Run, Rose, Run brings together Parton’s many influences—country, gospel, bluegrass, roots—for a collection as dynamic as the novel’s heroine.
A killer 2CD set – one that features 4 full albums from the country duo of Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton! First up is We Found It – a gem of a record from the glory days of the Porter Wagoner/Dolly Parton partnership on record – a set that's overflowing with original material penned by each of the singers, which gives the whole thing a way of feeling a lot more personal and pointed than most other country duo albums! Porter and Dolly really share the vocal chores equally – and maybe break off less into the separate modes of some of their earlier records, but in a good way – on titles that include "Love City", "I've Been Married", "Satan's River", "I Am Always Waiting", "That's When Love Will Mean The Most", and "How Close They Must Be".
