Bridges To Buenos Aires is the latest concert film release from The Rolling Stones' archive. The full-length show from their five night sell-out residency at the River Plate Stadium in Argentina's capital city has been restored in full and features a very special guest appearance from Bob Dylan on Like A Rolling Stone. Filmed on April 5th 1998, by this point, the band had played to over two million people on the first two legs of the tour in North America and Japan.

Peter Schreier conducts Bachs St John Passion at St Thomass Church, Leipzig: a musical ray of light in the dark days of Passiontide Famous for his performances of the Evangelist in Bachs oratorios and passions, the highly regarded Bach-expert Peter Schreier has also garnered international acclaim as a conductor. For the present project, he has taken to the podium once more. The albums live recording from St Thomass Church, Leipzig, captures a remarkable performance of Johann Sebastian Bachs St John Passion (BWV 245). Under the direction of Peter Schreier, the Sächsischer Kammerchor and the Mitteldeutsche Virtuosen present a truly gripping, profound rendition of Bachs masterpiece.

What paths did the composition of sacred music take at the beginning of this millennium? What is its relationship with liturgy? What prospects does it have? On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Domenico Bartolucci (1917-2013), historic conductor of the choir of the Sistine Chapel and prolific composer, the Second National Conference of Composers of Sacred Music, promoted by the Associazione Italiana Santa Cecilia, was held in Rome from 1 to 3 September 2017.

From shot-gun shack and cotton-field to festival main stage, the prodigious talents of Lil Jimmy Reed have taken him a long way from the Mississippi river. One of the last surviving performers of classic Louisiana down-home blues, Lil Jimmys stinging guitar work, gritty vocals and haunting harmonica has taken everyone by storm. His music has won him many awards and an induction into the Blues Hall of Fame. He is accompanied by the A Team, comprising pianist Bob Hall, widely regarded as the UKs finest blues and boogie exponent, and diminutive dynamo Hilary Blythe on rock steady bass.

In this new major work John Muchleisen explores the costs of war from the point of view of the families left behind- specifically the loss of Rudyard and Carrie Kipling's son John during World War I. Robert Bode directs Choral Arts Northwest in a live performance of this moving new work. John Muchleisen's compositions have been performed throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. More than 40 of his works have been recorded commercially. Awards include third place in the 2013 American Prize in Professional Choral Composition and the 2014 Dale Warland Singers Comission Award co-sponsored by Chorus America and the American Composers Forum. Choral Arts Northwest, under the direction of Dr. Robert Bode, has won the Margaret Hillis Award for Choral Excellence and the American Prize for choral performance. The group has also been awarded coveted performing opportunities at the ACDA National and Regional Conferences, and the Chorus America National Conference.
