Cuatro amigos de la infancia, todos ellos casados, se reencuentran una cena de ex alumnos. An African safari is attacked by savage natives and the sole survivor is an infant who is adopted and raised by gorillas. As he is growing up, his only human friend is a native boy he happens to meet in a chance encounter. He grows to be a young adult, discovers white civilization, and meets a beautiful white girl who becomes his mate.

In 2002, Uruguay is gripped by a financial and political crisis that divides and paralyzes the country. With searching, at times dreamy images, Director Nieto (who won a Tiger Award in 2006 for The Dog Pound) effectively shows how a potentially rich inheritance can be frittered away.
