El Amor Menos Pensado 2018

Concurrently with the CD Tangos & Canciones Johannes Tonio Kreusch's successful solo album Inspiración is re-released. The CD originally released on the BMG label Arte Nova in 2001 is hereby made available again in a remastered version. The famous masterpieces of Barrios-Mangoré, Tárrega, Albéniz, Rodrigo and Brouwer have excited many guitar lovers and are all deeply inspired by the six vibrating strings of the Spanish guitar.

Flamenco is not simply a form of music, but an experience for the mind, body, and soul. It is an ever-evolving musical and cultural tradition to be shared with others. At its core, Flamenco music is pure emotion. “Soñador (Dreamer)” is a musical snapshot of my vision of Flamenco. Each piece on this album is a musical vignette that evokes a certain person, place, experience, memory, or emotion that I have experienced. The process of putting together this album was a collaborative effort and memorable experience for me, and I hope that some of the duende, soul, we put into this album will find its way into those who listen!

n composing El amor brujo (Love, the Magician) Manuel de Falla took his inspiration from the old gypsy legends and songs collected by the flamenco singer and dancer Pastora Imperio and her mother, creating a unique distillation of the essence of Andalusian music with its various palos or styles – seguiriyas, soleares, polos, martinetes and zambras, by incorporating their spirit into his own musical language.
