"Madman Across the Water" is the 4th studio album by Elton John, released in 1971. This was the last album to feature John's regular touring band (Dee Murray and Nigel Olsson) on only a single song. Later band member, percussionist Ray Cooper, makes his first appearance with this album. As with all John songs during this period, the lyrics were penned by his writing partner, Bernie Taupin. This was the last album to be recorded at London's Trident Studios, although subsequent albums would be remixed or overdubbed at Trident. Caleb Quaye and Roger Pope would not play with John again until Rock of the Westies in 1975, following Murray and Olsson's departure from the band. "Madman Across the Water" barely reached #41 on the UK Albums Chart, spending only two weeks there. It has been the lowest-charting album of his career to date. The album fared much better in North America, peaking at #8 on the US Billboard Top Pop Albums and placing at #10 on the year-end list of 1972.

"Rock Of The Westies" is the 10th studio album by English musician Elton John, released in October 1975. As with "Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy", "Rock Of The Westies" debuted on the US Billboard 200 chart at #1, the only two albums at that time to have done so. It was also successful (albeit to a lesser extent) in the artist's home territory of the UK, where it reached #5 on the UK Albums Chart. Robert Christgau ranked it as #7 on his list of the best albums of 1975. The title is a play on the phrase "West of the Rockies", the album having been recorded at Caribou Ranch in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

"Honky Château" is the 5th studio album by English musician Elton John. It was released in 1972, and was titled after the 18th century French chateau where it was recorded, Château d'Hérouville. The album reached #1 in the US, the first of seven consecutive US number one albums for Elton John. In 2012, the album was ranked #359 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. It was certified Gold in July 1972 and Platinum in October 1995 by the RIAA. This was the final Elton John album on the Uni label in the US and Canada before MCA consolidated all of its various labels under the MCA brand. This and John's earlier Uni albums were later reissued on MCA Records. Two singles were released worldwide from "Honky Château", - "Rocket Man" and "Honky Cat." A third single, "Hercules," was prepared for release, but this never materialised.

Hailed as “The Ambassador of Afro-Dominican Jazz”, pianist, composer and arranger Josean Jacobo is proud to announce the May 31st release of Cimarrón on E7 Studios- a 10-track collection of compositions brought to life by Jacobo’s sextet, Tumbao. Featuring saxophonists Jonathan Suazo and Rafael Suncar, bassist Daroll Méndez, drummer Otoniel Nicolas and percussionist Mois Silfa, Cimarrón testifies the explosive colors of the folkloric rhythms of the group’s native Dominican Republic. A follow-up to Tumbao’s sophomore album Balsié, Cimarrón continues to develop and fortify the sub-genre of Afro-Dominican jazz. Capturing both the rhythmic and melodic elements of the rich Dominican heritage, Jacobo carries the banner of diversity and instills the ideal that love is the main force that today’s world truly needs. While the album’s debut single, “Mind Reset” will be released on March 29th, Josean Jacobo & Tumbao will celebrate Cimarrón at Club Bonafide, located at 212 E 52nd St, New York on August 2nd at 10pm.

Psychedelic Percussion definitely sticks to his title. With the help from Paul Beaver of Beaver & Krause (famous keyboard wizard and sound engineer for the likes of Stevie Wonder), vibe master Emil Richards (check is two fantastic album on Impulse! with The Microtonal Blues Band featuring Joe Porcaro, father of the famed Toto brothers) and Gary Coleman (percussionist in the famous Wrecking Crew), Blaine goes wild in the studio with drums, gong, xylophone, organ, bongos, congas and timpani. Unusual textures and tones lead the way to 12 instrumental exotic numbers similar in a way to Raymond Scott most visionary experiments.
