The programme of this CD features three works for solo guitar composed by Mauro Giuliani and performed by Christian El Khouri: Giulianate Op. 148, Choix de mes fleurs chéries Op. 46, the Cavatina Bel raggio lusinghiero from Rossini’s Semiramide. The collection Choix de mes Fleurs chéries, ou Le Bouquet Emblématique Op. 46 was first published in 1814 with a dedication to Monsieur Jules Giraud. This work is here recorded for the first time by Christian El Khouri.

Astor Pantaleón Piazzolla was an Argentine tango composer, bandoneon player, and arranger. His works revolutionized the traditional tango into a new style termed Nuevo tango, incorporating elements from jazz and classical music. A virtuoso bandoneonist, he regularly performed his own compositions with a variety of ensembles.

SWANS have announced a remastered reissue of Children of God on 13 November 2020 via Mute / Young God Records. The album, originally released on Product Inc. (a subsidiary of Mute) in 1987 will be available on vinyl in its original packaging for the first time since that release and both the CD and vinyl issues will include the live album, Feel Good Now, recorded on the 1987 Children of God European tour.

Hans Rott, a composer and contemporary of Gustav Mahler, was unknown to most people of his day, and familiar to many critics only by his name. Many people have expressed the opinion, perhaps justifiably, that only his tragic early death prevented him from both securing a place in the annals of music as Mahlers equal and establishing a permanent position in the repertoire.
