Entrevista Com o Demonio

Based loosely on Homer's 'The Odyssey', the movie deals with the odd adventures of Everett Ulysses McGill and his companions Delmar and Pete during the 1930's in Mississippi. Broke free from a chain-gang and trying to reach Everett's home to recover some buried loot from a bank heist, they are confronted by a series of strange characters. Among them are sirens, a cyclops, a bankrobber named George 'Babyface' Nelson, a campaigning Governor, his opponent, a K.K.K. lynch mob, and a blind prophet who happens to give them a bit of mysterious, yet confusing, advice regarding their journey.

Akira Kurosawa's Men Who Tread on the Tiger's Tail was put together at the last minute when Kurosawa's plan to direct a costume picture called Doko Kono Yari fell through (the producer couldn't get any horses!) Utilizing the costumes, sets and actors already commissioned, Kurosawa spent one long evening writing a screenplay based on the old Kabuki piece Kanjincho. Passado na década de 1950, um fotógrafo (Ricardo Trêpa) está hospedado numa pequena pensão, mas tem de acordar subitamente à noite para fotografar uma linda moça (Pilar López de Ayala) que acabara de falecer. O fotógrafo que está na região do Douro para documentar antigos métodos de trabalho nas vinhas, com especial atenção aos chamados cavadores da terra, fica subitamente perturbado pela imagem da falecida.
