Stevie Ray Vaughan became the biggest new star in the blues and an overnight guitar hero after the release of his 1983 debut album Texas Flood. But Vaughan played on an even bigger hit album that same year; he was the lead guitarist on the sessions for David Bowie's commercial comeback Let's Dance, and was originally slated to tour as part of Bowie's backing band. Last minute disputes led to Vaughan dropping out of Bowie's group, with Earl Slick taking his place for the Serious Moonlight Tour, which became one of the year's biggest concert draws. Space Oddity was recorded during rehearsals for the tour, shortly before Vaughan dropped out, and gives fans an opportunity to hear how these tunes from Bowie's catalog would have sounded on-stage with Vaughan lending his skills to the performances. In addition to Let's Dance selections such as "China People," "Cat People," and the title track, the set list includes a number of Bowie classics, including "Heroes," "Golden Years," "Life on Mars," "Scary Monsters," "Look Back in Anger," and many more.

Even though they started out on Musea, EGOBAND is another Mellow Records Italian obscurity. What does that mean? It means it's hard to find band information. But there is enough to paint a picture. The first album's lineup consisted of Alessandro Accordino on vocals and keyboards,
Fabio Cioni on drums,
Massimo Fava on guitars, and Alfonso Capasso on bass. However, only Accordino and Capasso would be consistent with the group over its four-album career. This, along with the fact that there were no live efforts, leads to speculation that EGOBAND may have been more of a project than a band (a la Steely Dan). They went through interesting changes over their career. Starting out purely Neo, with heavy AOR tendencies, and ending up almost in Canterbury territory by the time they got to "Earth"…

Hughes, plus a poster and three postcards.. These Dreams Will Never Sleep, The Best Of, 1976-2015 celebrates the incredible 40 year career of one of Britain's most seminal songwriters - Graham Parker. The 124 track box consists of three anthology discs with some of Graham's best loved recorded work as a solo artist and with The Rumour - one of the UK's pioneering pre-punk bands. The Live At The BBC 19 track disc includes very rare, choice picks from Graham Parker & The Rumour's 1979 Live At Hammersmith Odeon show, and Live From BBC Sight and Sound in 1977. Discs five and six are Live From The London Forum, these never before heard recordings are taken from Graham Parker & The Rumour's last ever live show in 2015, and also feature the legendary Rumour Brass Section for the first time since 1980.
