Da Carmelo, la vipera triste che vive nell’ombra per paura di essere presa a bastonate, a Certosino, il giovane medusino che vorrebbe essere un cavalluccio marino, al lupo di Cappuccetto Rosso che è stanco di essere descritto come una belva feroce: l’autrice ci farà conoscere tutti quegli animali che nessuno inviterebbe a una festa o vorrebbe per amici. Attraverso una serie di incontri, Chiara (che è anche la protagonista del racconto) scoprirà infatti che questi animali, considerati «sporchi, brutti e cattivi», sono fondamentali per mantenere gli equilibri tra tutte le creature del pianeta. Si tratta di specie essenziali per il corretto funzionamento dell’ecosistema e anche per il benessere dell’essere umano, che però da sempre le etichetta negativamente, le marginalizza e le perseguita. Dai suoi incontri «bestiali» Chiara comprenderà come anche per tutti noi sia importante conoscere il nostro ruolo nel mondo che ci circonda e in rapporto agli altri abitanti umani e non. Una storia rivolta ai più piccoli e corredata da bellissime fotografie illustrate.

During the decades surrounding 1600, the dominance of the human voice and of texts came to be replaced by the unfettered imagination of the composer/instrumentalists that allowed instruments to ‘speak’ on their own, and not only support a sung text.

Effemeridi del film si occupa dei cosiddetti "ephemera" – documenti, perlopiù di carta, spesso prodotti sulla spinta di un’urgenza emotiva, intellettuale o artistica, solitamente destinati a una comunicazione transitoria – come fonte di storia del cinema. Il volume offre una serie di analisi di oggetti culturali originali (album di ritagli, scrapbooks, cigarette cards, ecc.) e, attraverso questi casi di studio, sviluppa una riflessione teorica e metodologica intorno alla nozione di "ephemera", muovendo da alcuni studi pionieristici nel campo dei film studies e dalle ascendenze del “nuovo materialismo” nel campo della storia dei media e dell’archeologia dei media per approdare a un’accezione ampia del termine, comprensiva di paratesti e “minor media”..

For twenty years Marco Serino was Ennio Morricone’s violinist, the soloist on his film soundtracks and on world tours where they were reworked for the concert hall. In January 2020, after what proved to be his last public concert, at the Italian Senate in Rome, Morricone finished the transcription of this magnificent and unpublished collection, which recasts the themes of his most famous scores in suites transcribed for violin and orchestra.
