Bird and Diz is a studio album by jazz saxophonist Charlie Parker and trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie. It was recorded primarily on June 6, 1950, in New York City.

American Sea Shanties and Songs is part of Rounder's extensive Library of Congress compact disc reissue series. Originally released as part of the Folk Music of the United States series in 1952, it features 21 unaccompanied tracks sung by Richard Maitland, "Sailor Dad" Hunt, Noble B. Brown, and Capt. Leighton Robinson. These are shanties for purists, sung slowly – a sailor's work was never done in haste – and surely by the men who incorporated them into their everyday nautical routines. The tracks themselves are typical of the Lomax era, recorded in the field to capture all of the atmosphere and emotion generated by the physical workplace. All of the original illustrations, extensive research notes, and in-depth discussions of the genre and its colorful terms and characters are intact, and these, more so than the fascinating – but poorly recorded – songs, are reason enough to pick up this invaluable maritime resource.

Joseph Arthur was born in Ohio-native and in his life has recorded and released a number of albums in rock, folk, pop. In this record, a variety of songs - vocal and instrumental, of nakrotikah and autobiographical, and many other stories. Arthur describes his new record as "some of the richest music I've made in 17 years of putting music together. "Boogie Christ" is a psychedelic soul record about redemption and what happens after you find and lose it".

"for you who are the wronged" is the much anticipated follow-up to 2018's "from when i wake the want is", and her 2014 debut "bones you have thrown me and blood i've spilled", which won 2015's Scottish Album of the Year award. If "from when i wake…" was written for love to return, this is where she fights tooth and claw to protect it. Written and co-produced by Kathryn Joseph, it was recorded at The Lengths Studio in Fort William, with producer Lomond Campbell (also a recording artist for Heavenly Records and has previously produced King Creosote). Kathryn is signed to fellow Scottish musicians, Mogwai's Rock Action Records. It will appeal to those that have bought Kathryn's earlier albums plus fans of Lana Del Ray, Laura Marling, Kate Bush, Aidan Moffat, and Erland Cooper.
