Digitally remastered and expanded edition of this 1987 album from the Jazz/Funk pioneer. "I'm the One (For Your Love Tonight)" was his final set for Columbia Records. Unlike it's predecessors for the label, Roy produced the album himself working with his then-bassist David Metcen who co-produced and contributed five songs to the nine-track set. Other Ayers' band members playing on the album included William Allen and Dennis Davis with long-time friend James Bedford contributing his songwriting talents on three songs. Standout tracks include a cover of the Isley Brothers' 'I Once Had Your Love,' the soulful slow jam, 'Let Me Love You' (featuring singer Chandra Currelley, formerly of the S. O. S. Band), the funky 'Crack Attack' and the vibes-dominated instrumental, 'Blue Summer. ' This expanded edition includes an extended dance mix of the title track. Notes by renowned U. S. writer Lewis Dene (former contributor to the UK's Blues & Soul magazine) include quotes from a 2011 interview with Roy.

Collected and released when Head was on the verge of a new level of appreciation via Shack, Longshot for Your Love – compiling radio sessions, unreleased tracks, and various other obscurities – made for an appreciative peek back at his early-'80s days with the Pale Fountains. The opening liner notes in the booklet from Yasuharu Konishi of Pizzicato Five are perfectly appropriate. There's a clear sense throughout this enjoyable disc how Head's first outfit provided a bridge between swinging '60s pop and the efforts of a later generation, not merely with Pizzicato Five but Belle & Sebastian or any number of Burt Bacharach-loving acts of the '90s.

One of the most well-known rock groups from Continental Europe, Denmark's Savage Rose recorded a wealth of intriguing and eclectic progressive rock in the late '60s and '70s. In their early work, one hears faint echoes of the Airplane, Doors, Pink Floyd, and other psychedelic heavyweights combined with classical jazz and Danish-Euro folk elements…

Issued as a precursor to Antony and the Johnsons' Swanlights, Thank You for Your Love contains five tracks – the title cut is taken from the album; "My Lord, My Love," was issued as a bonus on The Crying Light; and there are a pair of surprising covers. The title is the thematic track the EP hinges on. Antony Hegarty's longing has always been at the heart of his arresting, courageous, yet vulnerable voice. On this track, however, in a relaxed, easy, flowing manner, backed by a host of downtown NY jazz musicians, Hegarty makes a direct declaration of gratitude for the kind of love that provides rescue.

The Yardbirds are mostly known to the casual rock fan as the starting point for three of the greatest British rock guitarists: Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page. Undoubtedly, these three figures did much to shape the group's sound, but throughout their career, the Yardbirds were very much a unit, albeit a rather unstable one. And they were truly one of the great rock bands; one whose contributions went far beyond the scope of their half dozen or so mid-'60s. For Your Love is the first American album by English rock band the Yardbirds. Released in July 1965, it contains new studio recordings along with previously released singles. The album features some of the earliest recordings by guitarists Eric Clapton and his replacement Jeff Beck.

Chilly was a German Euro disco/rock band from 1978 to 1983. They were created and produced by the producer, composer and book author Bernt Möhrle. Their first album "For your Love" included a suite 11:50 (long version) of the song "For Your Love", new recorded with an arrangement by Christian Kolonovits and Bernt Möhrle. The original "For Your Love" was a Yardbirds hit with the beat of 1965, written by Graham Gouldman. Bernt Möhrle created with "For Your Love" a new standard in Disco music in the late 70s and early 80s. It remained on the Billboard dance club songs charts for 7 weeks peaking at number 38 in April 1979.

On the eve of the first anniversary of Jack Bruce's death, 24th October 2015, The Bruce Family organised a tribute concert in Jack's honor at The Roundhouse in Chalk Farm, London. Many guests performed that night in Jack's memory: the late Ginger Baker, Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, Joss Stone, Phil Manzanera of Roxy Music, Mark King of Level 42, Vernon Reid of Living Colour, Uli Jon Roth, and many more. Jack's children, Aruba Red and Corin Jack Bruce and his nephew, Nico Bruce, also performed. Nitin Sawhney, award winning composer and multi-instrumentalist, was the evening's musical director.

Cherry Red affiliate Superbird pairs Bar-Kays' first two albums for Mercury, the label to which the band defected after a long and productive run with Stax. Both recordings reached the Top Ten of Billboard's R&B albums chart. Too Hot to Stop, released in 1976, features the singles "Shake Your Rump to the Funk," "Too Hot to Stop," and "Spellbound," while Flying High on Your Love spawned "Let's Have Some Fun" and "Attitudes." Comparable to what their P-Funk brothers and sisters were releasing at the time, these are two of the band's most enjoyable albums, though they're not without a fair amount of filler. This is a straight-up two-for-one compilation with no bonus tracks.

"Living Without Your Love" is the 11th studio album recorded by singer Dusty Springfield, and 10th released. The album was recorded in summer 1978 and released in early 1979. "Living Without Your Love" consequently became her last LP recorded for Phonogram, a company with which she had been associated, in various forms (Fontana Records/Philips Records/Mercury Records), for nearly twenty years. Two non-album singles produced by David Mackay were recorded and released in the UK that same year. "Baby Blue", written and co-produced by Trevor Horn, Geoff Downes, and Bruce Woolley, was a disco-pop track, which was also issued as an extended 12" single and became a minor club hit (#61), but "Your Love Still Brings Me to My Knees" never charted and the track became Springfield's swan song for Phonogram. Springfield stayed on in Los Angeles for another 10 years. It was also to be more than a decade before she released her next full-length album in the UK. In 2002, Mercury/Universal Music released "Living Without Your Love" on CD for the first time.
