Formative genetic material of death metal, this band formed in 1984 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and recorded its first album "Abominations Of Desolation" in 1986 (albeit not released until 1991), being inspired by Slayer but eventually moving on to more progressive works with the genre-definitive "Blessed Are the Sick" in 1991. Progressive, rhythmic, complex and evil death metal with lyrics well-crafted from Sumerian and Lovecraftian domains…

Guitarist Erik Rutan joins the fold on Morbid Angel's Domination and contributes several of his own compositions. The group's sound is better than ever and perhaps a bit more groove-oriented, but this is mostly standard Morbid Angel, with the typical problems: the bass drums are played too fast to be recorded properly and end up sounding like a fast clicking underneath the songs…

Drawing on material from their first four albums, Morbid Angel offered up an extremely well executed live album with "Entangled in Chaos". Running just under forty minutes, fans of the band won't find themselves bored in the least with the eleven tracks offered here…

The time had come, Angel Olsen realized in the fading summer of 2018, to take her new songs out of the house. Olsen’s 2016 marvel, My Woman, had been a career breakthrough, but it catalyzed a period of personal tumult, too: a painful breakup, an uneasy recovery, an inadequate reckoning. At home in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains, Olsen penned songs that finally grappled with these troubles, particularly love - how forever is too much to promise, how relationships can lock us into static versions of ourselves, how you can go through hell just to make someone else happy. These heartsore explorations shape Whole New Mess, Olsen’s first solo album since her 2012 debut and an emotional portrait so intimate and vulnerable you can hear her find meaning in these crises in real-time.

LIVE was mostly recorded on November 1st, 2019, at Haus der Berliner Festspiele in Berlin, Germany, during the 2019 edition of JazzFest Berlin. For Angel Bat Dawid and her band Tha Brothahood – which includes Deacon Otis Cooke, Viktor Le Givens, Xristian Espinoza, Norman W. Long, Dr. Adam Zanolini, and Asher Simiso Gamedze – it was the first stop of their first European tour.

Considered one of the finest counter tenors of his generation, Ryland Angel makes the switch from the rarefied world of Baroque music – which established him as an international star – to the land of pop classical on his lushly produced major-label debut. While some of the press materials tried to link him to more pop oriented singer/songwriters like Aaron Neville, James Taylor and James Blunt, Angel's stunningly beautiful, ethereal and transcendent voice will appeal just as much to fans of Josh Groban. But while Groban always aims for the big pop hook and crescendo, Angel is a little more traditional, letting most of these tracks build their feelings slowly, drifting over a colorful ambient landscape.
