Four Tet New Energy

A crazy tinkerer from the techno sphere, Kieran Hebden aka Four Tet pens a ninth UFO, of which he has a knack for creating. The bulimic British who, when he doesn’t work on his own music, mixes for The XX, A$AP Rocky, Oneohtrix Point Never, Aphex Twin, Explosions In The Sky, Super Furry Animals, Radiohead, Ellie Goulding, Lana Del Rey, Manic Street Preachers, Sia and even Black Sabbath pursues here his 360° electro-new age trip armed with the Ableton Live software.

Kieran Hebden revealed the tracklist and release date of his new album via Twitter. It features previously released singles "Two Thousand And Seventeen," "SW9 9SL" and "Planet." There's no word on what label it's coming out on, though the last few Four Tet releases have been released via Hebden's own Text Records. Hebden has been hinting at New Energy since the release of "Two Thousand And Seventeen," when he said he'd been working on an album for ten months. He's also due to release a 12-inch called "Question" under the name KH as Text's 44th record.

Kieran Hebden blurs the lines between the units of his notoriously slippery output once again by releasing another LP as 00110100 01010100 (that’s ‘4T’ in binary code), the first since 2013’s 0181. The surprise drop of his last album under the moniker, a collection of unreleased material produced by Hebden between 1997 and 2001, showcased the cheekier sensibilities of an artist willing to share the workings of his halcyon days, well before he came to dominate the global stage of electronic music as Four Tet. 871 — by our estimate, the only other 00110100 01010100 album to date — follows suit.

Daphni (aka Caribou, aka Dan Snaith) has announced his first full body of work under the moniker since 2012’s critically acclaimed JIAOLONG album and most recently Caribou’s seminal standout 2014 album Our Love. It comes in the form of a very special FABRICLIVE mix composed of 23 original, unreleased Daphni tracks and four new Daphni edits.
