Rage Hard (Compacted) is a programme by Frankie Goes To Hollywood to promote the group's first single from their Liverpool album, "Rage Hard". The title is parenthetical with the word "Compacted" because this was the first single to be released as a compact disc. The mix compiles different remixes of "Rage Hard". The CD also features two non-LP tracks, a cover of David Bowie's "Suffragette City" and The Doors' "Roadhouse Blues".

Digitally remastered and expanded two CD edition of this 1986 album. The Art of Noise first appeared in 1983 with a song in their heart, a beat in their soul, and an ignition key in their hand. Formed at a time when the reverberations of punk, post-punk and new wave could still be felt, they were determined to be a different kind of group, a group that set themselves outside the then currents of fashion and style, a group that were the missing link between The Monkees and Talking Heads, ABBA and Kraftwerk, Frank Zappa and The Archies. Their unique sounding instrumental compositions relied heavily on the innovative use of digital samples and computers to create their famous sound collages. Their first China album, In Visible Silence has been newly remastered and expanded with unreleased recordings taken from the original album sessions, single versions, and a multitude of mixes - some available on CD for the very first time.

Frankie Goes to Hollywood hyped their debut album Welcome to the Pleasuredome so much that when their second record, Liverpool, failed to live up to expectations, their career was effectively over. That didn't stop them from releasing greatest-hits albums, however, nor did it stop the inevitable wave of '80s nostalgia that surged forth in the '90s. To cash in on whatever meager Frankie nostalgia that may have existed, Bang!… Greatest Hits of Frankie Goes to Hollywood appeared in 1994 and was reissued in 1998, when the rights shifted to Universal Records.

Club Mixes 2000 is a remix album from '80s one-album wonder Frankie Goes to Hollywood. Wisely, only two songs out of the 16 here are not from Welcome to the Pleasuredome. Otherwise, this takes the biggest hits from that album and tries to twist them into techno anthems. And, for the most part, the songs translate fairly easily into that genre. Because of the songs' over the top nature and charismatic arrangements, it's possible to pick and choose some outrageous material from the originals and plaster it onto these techno tracks. Those unfamiliar with the material may find this to be rather boring, as many of the songs are featured several times under different remixers. But unlike the Disco albums that the Pet Shop Boys released to a harsh public, these songs are more well-rounded and tend to play out more naturally than those collections. Overall, this is a decent album that does get repetitive, but contains enough good remixes to make it recommendable to fans of the band.
