Silversun Pickups are picking back up with their fifth studio album, Widow's Weeds, which is due June 7 via their New Machine Recordings label. The band revealed the news Thursday (April 11), while also unveiling the video for their lead single, "It Doesn't Matter Why."

Silversun Pickups return with Widow’s Weeds, their 5th studio album, out June 7th via their own New Machine Recordings label. The band enlisted Butch Vig(Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth) to produce their latest, an extroverted and open album about rebirth and renewal.

While recording their fifth full-length album and first in four years, Widow’s Weeds, Silversun Pickups went through some life changes that guided their songwriting decisions. “It’s a window into a time and place of what happened in our lives,” frontman Brian Aubert shares with Apple Music. “As we grow older, I think there’s a lot of things that are wonderful. But there’s also a lot of seismic shifts that make you pause, because they just land in your lap. I’m getting used to feeling a little bit vulnerable.”

Love. Angel. Music. Baby. is the debut solo album by American singer Gwen Stefani. It was released on November 12, 2004, by Interscope Records. Stefani, who had previously released five albums as rock band No Doubt's lead singer, began recording solo material in early 2003. She began working on Love. Angel. Music. Baby. as a side project that would become a full album after No Doubt went on hiatus. Stefani co-wrote every song on the album, collaborating with various songwriters and producers including André 3000, Dallas Austin, Dr. Dre, the Neptunes and Linda Perry.
