Geoff Zanelli Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

The Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales Original Motion Picture Soundtrack physical and digital soundtrack is set for release from Walt Disney Records on May 26, 2017, the same day the film opens in U.S. theaters. As with the previous "Pirates of the Caribbean" films, and with a nod to its swashbuckling predecessors in the genre, music plays a integral role in "Dead Men Tell No Tales," which features a score by Emmy®-winning composer Geoff Zanelli with melodies filled with excitement and intrigue as befits the pirates' latest journey.

Johnny Depp returns to the big screen as the iconic, swashbuckling anti-hero Jack Sparrow in the all-new Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, a rip-roaring adventure that finds down-on-his-luck Captain Jack feeling the winds of ill-fortune blowing strongly his way when deadly ghost sailors, led by the terrifying Captain Salazar, escape from the Devil's Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea notably Jack.

Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for the fantasy adventure Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. The album features the film’s original music composed by Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Disturbia, Christopher Robin). Also included is the original song You Can’t Stop the Girl by Bebe Rexha, which has already been released as a digital single. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 18. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is directed by Joachim Rønning and stars Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sam Riley, Harris Dickinson, Ed Skrein, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville. The movie explores the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within. The fantasy sequel is being released in theaters nationwide this weekend by Walt Disney Pictures.

Geoff Zanelli is reteaming with director Joachim Rønning on the upcoming fantasy adventure sequel Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. The film starring Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sam Riley, Harris Dickinson, Ed Skrein, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville picks up several years after the original 2014 film (which was scored by James Newton Howard) and explores the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within. Jolie is also producing the project with Joe Roth. Zanelli has previously scored Rønning’s last feature, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and also scored last year’s Christopher Robin for Disney. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is set to be released on October 18, 2019 by Walt Disney Pictures.

The album features the film’s original score composed by Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Disturbia) & Jon Brion (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Magnolia). Also included are three original songs written by Richard Sherman. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 3 and will be available to download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Christopher Robin is directed by Marc Forster and stars Ewan McGregor, Hayley Atwell, Bronte Carmichael, Mark Gatiss, Jim Cummings, Chris O’Dowd, Brad Garrett, Toby Jones, Nick Mohammed, Peter Capaldi and Sophie Okonedo. The movie tells the story of Robin, the little boy from the Winnie the Pooh series, who is now all-grown-up and lost all sense of imagination. The drama is being released in theaters nationwide this weekend by Walt Disney Pictures.
