A two-part portrait of Elizabeth II's grandparents, King George V and Queen Mary, which examines the lasting legacy of the couple who rescued the monarchy from potential disaster, and whose influence persists to this day.

Martin is a 1977 horror film written and directed by George A. Romero. The film was shot with a low-budget, filmed entirely on real locations, and many of the supporting cast members were friends and family of the filmmakers. It was filmed on location in the Pittsburgh suburb of Braddock, Pennsylvania in 1976. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May 1977 and was released in US cinemas on July 7, 1978. The film is regarded by horror fans as one of the finest B horror films of the 70's and is often cited among Romero's best works. Romero is also on record as saying Martin is his favorite of all his films. The film is also notable as the first collaboration between George Romero and special effects artist Tom Savini.

A one-off documentary for BBC Four in which Frank Skinner explores the life and legacy of George Formby - Britain's first megastar - to uncover the secret of his enduring fame.

British Writer/director Anthony Kimmins was willing to expand his range from drawing room comedy to the "low" humors of the provincial music halls. Kimmins' Come on George is an unadorned vehicle for toothy, ukelele-strumming North Country comedian George Formby. Formby plays a somewhat overage stableboy who is the only person able to calm a jittery race horse. In the foregone conclusion, Formby rides the horse to victory. Come on George was a product of George Formby's peak movie years; after the war he suffered a professional eclipse and was back making the cheap programmers (vide George in Civvy Street) whence he had started his cinematic career.

After the joyous wedding between Adenike (Gurira) and Ayodele (Isaach De Bankolé, WHITE MATERIAL, NIGHT ON EARTH), a Nigerian couple living in Brooklyn, marital complications arise out of their inability to conceive a child. The problem devastates their family and defies cultural expectations, leading Adenike to make a shocking decision that could either save her family or destroy it. Dosunmu captures the nuances of this unique and fascinating culture by creating a beautiful, vibrant, and moving portrait of a couple whose joys and struggles are at once intimate and universal.

Arena broadcasts the UK television premiere of Martin Scorsese's portrait of the late George Harrison. Scorsese traces Harrison's life from his beginnings in Liverpool to becoming a world-famous musician, philanthropist and filmmaker, weaving together interviews with George and his closest friends, photographs and archive footage including live performances - much of it previously unseen. The result is a rare glimpse into the mind of one of the most talented artists of his generation.
