Ghoul Transmission Zero (2011)

En Tokio ocurren varias muertes, cometidas por Ghouls, seres desconocidos que sobreviven a base de carne humana. Un día Ken Kaneki, un joven de 18 años conoce a una chica llamada Rize Kamishiro en una cafetería y la invita a salir. Tras una cita aparentemente normal, Kaneki se ofrece a acompañarla a su casa. Al entrar a un callejón es atacado por ella, quien resulta ser un Ghoul. Durante el ataque, Kaneki es salvado por la caída de unas vigas que matan a Rize antes de que pueda matarlo, pero lo deja terriblemente herido. Debido a la gravedad de sus heridas, recibe un trasplante de órganos por el ghoul atacante (Rize Kamishiro).

Popol Vuh were one of the first Krautrock bands to turn their focus – thanks to their late founder, lone constant member, and musical director, Florian Fricke – to ambient music (a full half-decade before Eno called it that) and ethnic fusions of various sorts. They released almost two dozen albums, scored a handful of films by Werner Herzog – including Nosferatu and Aguirre, Wrath of God – and continually experimented with form, tone, context, and format. A decade after Fricke's death, the German SPV imprint celebrates his legacy with this double-disc set. The first features a smattering of Popol Vuh tunes from throughout their tenure. It makes for compelling listening despite an apparent paradox: Fricke and company conceived of recordings as albums (as well as scores), so hearing tracks placed outside that context would – theoretically at least – be an erratic listening exercise. It's not. In fact, it's sequenced beautifully.

I dont normally write reviews, but in response to a certain negative review I felt I had to!. Firstly I have to state I have actually purchased this set, and have always been a massive fan of this awesome band. This box set contains at least 4 of the best southern rock albums, from one of the finest bands ever to come from the southern states of America! Why they didnt include the first album from the original line up (pronounced leh-nerd skin-nerd) instead of the 2003 album Vicious Cycle I dont know as it would have made much more sense to include all 5 albums from the original line up before tragedy struck this amazing band.
