Zach Zimmerman are musician who write, compose, and perform their own musical material, including lyrics and melodies.

I first heard drummer and composer Zach Adleman as a high schooler at the Jazz House Kids summer jazz camp in his home state of New Jersey.

Dirty Mindz, the ninth solo album from acclaimed violinist and Grammy Award-winning Snarky Puppy member Zach Brock, was almost fated to not see the light of day. In the months – and, thanks to the pandemic, subsequent years – after the bulk of the album was recorded at Dreamland studios in upstate New York in October 2019, the much sought-out musician kept hitting a wall with the project.

In his novel The Spider’s House, writer and musician Paul Bowles speaks of the sound of multiple drums as a “reminder of another world, wholly autonomous, with its own necessities and patterns”, That is precisely the impression created by [so-nò-ro], the exciting new CAM JAZZ release by veteran percussionists Michele Rabbia and Ingar Zach. So close and involved is their interplay – demonstrated in recent workshop/recitals by the two men - that the music seems to occupy a whole new plane of reality, entire of itself and utterly absorbing.

Even three songs deep into The Elephant In the Room, the 10-song effort from husband-and-wife band Zach & Maggie, you’re still not sure what to expect as the album plays on.

In a nutshell this is brightly voiced chamber jazz from Denver trombonist and composer-arranger Zach Rich on an album of his own music recorded in a Colorado studio at the end of 2021 for jazz quintet and chamber orchestra.
