Marilyn Monroe was legendarily one of the most iconic personalities of the post-war era, an almost impossibly glamorous film actress and one of the showbiz figures who came to encapsulate the essence of her times and how they are remembered.

Matti Antero Kristian Fagerholm, best known by his stage name, Michael Monroe, is a Finnish rock musician, and multi-instrumentalist who rose to fame as the vocalist for the glam punk band Hanoi Rocks, and has served as the frontman for all-star side projects, such as Demolition 23. and Jerusalem Slim. Nights Are So Long is Michael Monroe's first post-Hanoi Rocks solo album released in 1987.

The video chapter features Marilyn singing "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" to GIs stationed in Korea in 1954. Also included is perhaps her most famous singing performance, a surprise rendition of "Happy Birthday" to President Kennedy just months before she died.
