Goa Culture

Culture III is the fourth studio album by American hip hop trio Migos. It was released by Capitol Records, Motown Records, and Quality Control Music on June 11, 2021. The album features guest appearances from Drake, Cardi B, Polo G, Future, Justin Bieber, late rappers Juice Wrld and Pop Smoke, and YoungBoy Never Broke Again. It is the follow-up to their 2018 album Culture II and serves as the conclusion to their Culture trilogy.

30 years after the release of O.M.D’s "Junk Culture" comes the remastered double HighRes-Deluxe Edition. Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys returned to the Virgin Archives to revisit the album. The album was remastered at Abbey Road and the other tracks featured on double album have previously only been available on vinyl.

"Cross Culture" is the 23rd studio work by GRAMMY Award-winning saxophonist/composer Joe Lovano. Lovano has been hailed by the New York Times as “one of the greatest musicians in jazz history.” The album marks his 23rd recording for Blue Note and his third consecutive release by his critically-acclaimed quintet, Us Five. "Cross Culture" features the band’s original line up of Francisco Mela, Otis Brown III, James Weidman, Esperanza Spalding and the newly recruited Peter Slavov, plus a special guest appearance by Lionel Loueke. "Cross Culture" is a stunning eleven-track album of ten Lovano originals along with a breathtaking rendition of Billy Strayhorn’s “Star Crossed Lovers”. The album fulfills Lovano’s lifelong dream to explore the notion of universal musical language.

"Where are you going to get original arrangements of the Grateful Dead, Eddie Harris, The Beatles, Bessie Smith, Ellington, and Charles Mingus, and not played as novelties but, like, this is our music?" Bernstein asks.

Vulture Culture is the eighth studio album by the Alan Parsons Project, released in 1985 via the Arista label. Vulture Culture's theme is another in which the fallacy of humankind is front and center. This time Parsons' message concerns the fact that everyone lives in a parasitic society, where it's every man for himself. Those who can't fend for themselves simply won't survive in a world where the kindness of the human spirit is rapidly deteriorating. On this album, though, the songs are weaker and are less effective in bringing out the album's complex idea. As it does have its moments, Vulture Culture lacks in cohesiveness and strength both lyrically and, to a lesser extent, musically. "Let's Talk About Me" addresses the theme in its words, but the choppy rhythm takes away the attractiveness that could have been. The instrumental "Hawkeye" adds life and contrast to the album at just the right time. The most appealing song, "Days Are Numbers (The Traveller)" with vocalist Chris Rainbow at the helm, combines simplicity with a timeless chorus making for a truly beautiful ballad. Even though Parsons' theme is revealed, it's done so with less clarity and doesn't quite hit home. Without the usual balance of absorbing lyrics and well-maintained music, Vulture Culture remains one of this band's less prolific albums.

Collaboration is probably the best way for a musician to improve or discover something new. Doesn't matter, collaborations with musicians or artists of another art form – the more the better. Needless to say, most of the artists understand this concept but the key is not to forget its importance in your daily life. Two friends – Donatas Petreikis and Karolis Šarkus– decided to collaborate. These musicians know each other for many years and spent countless hours on listening to records together, discussions and writing songs. Most of it would usually end up staying inside the studio but this time it was different. They have put all of their ideas with music on paper and out of love for jazz music “Collaborative Jazz Septet”.

Acclaimed saxophonist, philosopher, bandleader, and musician Shabaka Hutchings, now professionally known as Shabaka across all solo musical efforts, announces his first major label solo body of work, Afrikan Culture, through Impulse!, out on May 20. Entirely written by Shabaka, the eight-track digital only EP showcases him on various wind instruments and focuses on the aural meditative space.

Western Culture is a studio album by English avant-rock group Henry Cow, recorded at Sunrise Studios in Kirchberg, Switzerland in January and July–August 1978. It was their last album and was released on Henry Cow's own private label, Broadcast, in 1979.
