A sublime solo performance from Mal Waldron – the kind of unbridled, spiritual work he started giving us once he spent a lot of time overseas – sounds that are light years away from his American records of just a few short years before! Waldron is incredible here – and his ability to work in different ways with each hand on the piano almost makes it feel as if the performance is a duet, instead of a solo – as Mal can lay down modal rhythms with one hand, create incredible flights on the keys with the other – all while holding onto a sense of rhythm and melody that's completely wonderful throughout. Unlike some other Waldron records of this nature, which might go a bit outside – this one is free, but never "out" – and instead has Mal opening up beautifully on the titles "The Blues Suite", "Chairo No Hitomi", "The Stone Garden Of Ryoanji", "Summertime", "All Alone", and "Left Alone".

On August 21, 1976, Lynyrd Skynyrd took the stage at Knebworth Park in England as part of a daylong festival. With Ronnie Van Zant on vocals and the Rossington/Collins/Gaines triple guitar attack, Lynyrd Skynyrd delivered an electric performance in front of a crowd estimated between 150,000 and 200,000, which has gone down as one of the band's greatest performances.

Allan Harris is a very experienced vocalist with an excellent reputation. Sometimes he is even called the "jazz vocal king of New York", and the Miami Herald newspaper finds in his voice "the warmth of Tony Bennett, the sharpness and sense of rhythm of Sinatra and the sly elegance of Nat King Cole." Harris's popularity rose even further during the days of the pandemic lockdown, when every Tuesday he streamed live concerts under the title Harlem After Dark from his own apartment on the Web every Tuesday. Allan has amassed an impressive discography of fourteen albums over the years, the latest being Kate's Soulfood (2021). But there were no new live albums in this collection for thirteen years. This streak was interrupted by the release of Live at Blue Llama.

The Reverberation Appreciation Society are proud to welcome The Dandy Warhols for the eleventh vinyl release in the Live at LEVITATION series. The release showcases the band’s appearance at the festival with their 2013 performance. These recordings are immortalized on beautiful RSD exclusive splatter vinyl. LEVITATION and the LIVE AT LEVITATION Vinyl Series The first Austin Psych Fest was held in March 2008, and expanded to a 3 day event the following year. The event quickly developed into an international destination for psychedelic rock fans, with lineups spanning the fringes of indie rock, from up-and-comers to vintage legends, and capped off with headline performances from co-founders The Black Angels, along with Tame Impala, The Flaming Lips, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Thee Oh Sees (in various forms) and many more. LEVITATION helped spark a movement, inspiring the creation of similar events across the globe and a burgeoning psych scene that would soon ignite. The series captures key moments in psychedelic rock history, and live music in Austin, Texas, pressed on beautiful limited edition colorful vinyl pressings - each an eye popping visual representation of the music contained within. Transatlantic is an intermittent, international prog rock supergroup comprised of drummer Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), keyboardist/guitarist Neal Morse (ex-Spock's Beard), guitarist Roine Stolt (Flower Kings), and bassist Pete Trewavas (Marillion). They share lead vocals. The band's music weds vintage and neo-prog to fusion, progressive metal, and hard rock in long, knotty, suite-like constructions that more often than not last for over ten minutes. Their debut album, SMPT:e, appeared in 2000. 2001's Bridge Across Forever was followed by a European tour and live album. The band went on hiatus from 2003 to 2009, re-emerging with The Whirlwind and tours of England, Europe, and the U.S. Kaleidoscope appeared in 2014, followed by a world tour that included a gig on the Portnoy-curated "Progressive Nation at Sea" cruise. Members worked on projects with their primary bands over the next five years, and re-emerged in 2021 with the ambitious Absolute Universe in two distinct versions.

Jeff Buckley resented being called a folk singer, but he made his name playing solo sets like this one on the New York coffee circuit. Sony released this live EP before his first fully produced rock album, Grace, perhaps to attract attention to the raw power of Buckley's greatest gift, his voice. These four songs certainly accomplished that end. Buckley hurdles seemingly unreachable octaves, suspends notes for what seems like minutes, and belts out his falsetto without a scintilla of restraint. That's a positive inasmuch as it allowed him to show off his considerable talent; it's a negative when it sounded like he was showing off. But his ten-minute cover of Van Morrison's "The Way Young Lovers Do" is a tour de force of strumming and scatting, and his acoustic "Eternal Life" has an electricity that is paradoxically lacking on the plugged-in album version.[A deluxe edition released after his death added dozens of additional live tracks.]

Live at the Olympic: The Last DJ is a live DVD by American musician rock band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, first released in September 2003. The film features the band's 2002 album The Last DJ performed in its entirety. Also featured are several of the band's other songs, and "You Wreck Me" from Petty's 1994 solo album Wildflowers. One of the most magical, as-yet unreleased live performances by Jeff Buckley debuts on vinyl as part of the continuing celebration of the 25th anniversary of his debut studio album Grace. Buckley’s captivating appearance on KCRW-FM’s long-running Morning Becomes Eclectic was accompanied by the core band with which he recorded Grace, and features favorites from that record, including “Mojo Pin,” “So Real,” and “Lover, You Should Have Come Over.”
