The Battle Rages On is the fourteenth studio album by the British hard rock band Deep Purple. It is the last album recorded with the band's classic Mk II line-up reunited for a second time. Since Ian Gillan returned to the band, he reworked much of the material already existing for the album. Surfing with the Alien belongs to its era like Are You Experienced belongs to its own perhaps it doesnt transcend its time the way the Jimi Hendrix Experiences debut does, but Joe Satrianis breakthrough can be seen as the gold standard for guitar playing of the mid- to late 80s. The original lineup of the group evolved from an earlier Los Angeles band the Red Roosters, Mark Andes, and Jay Ferguson . With the addition of California's stepfather Ed Cassidy and keyboard player John Locke, the new band was originally named the Spirits Rebellious but was soon shortened simply to Spirit.

Roger Whittaker is an Anglo-Kenyan songwriter and singer with great baritone voice and a trademark whistling ability. His worldwide sales are over 55 million. He became very popular at the 70's with hits like "New world in the morning", "Durham Town", "I don't believe in if anymore" and especially with the million seller song "The Last Farewell" that hit the Billboard hot 100 in 1975. He is an excellent guitar player and has many singing styles. This nice 3CD collection includes all the great Whittaker hits and many more popular tunes, that the talented artist interprets with his unique way. Also some whistling instrumentals. Yngwie Johann Malmsteen has long been a revered name in the world of Rock and Metal guitar. From the day people first heard him in Steeler and Alcatrazz and then solo with Rising Force, his skills and technique on the instrument were nothing short of amazing. The playing style that Yngwie employed was always very classical in nature and in his earliest of interviews he would recall being influenced by the era and its greats. This DVD takes this classical based style of playing that Yngwie is so known for and partners him with the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. Filmed in 2001 this performance is something that the US fans have never had the chance to own until now. I am sure bootlegged copies exist but now fans are able to own an authentic copy. The concert itself does not hold much on the visual side with the exception of some great close ups of Yngwie and his guitar technique.

The concert will be broadcasted nationally on Tribune Media owned or operated television stations and streamed globally on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.
