Domestic music-making of a distinctly superior sort is lovingly recreated in a rare recording of the notebooks Bach presented to his second wife.

Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach was music director of five of Hamburg's principal churches from 1768 until his death in 1788. It was a strenuous and risky position of great responsibility. He was to make church services as attractive as possible with performances of his own original compositions alongside those of his contemporaries, so the faithful would show up in droves to church.

François Thuillier was born in 1967 and belongs to the new generation of tuba players, renowned for their knowledge, inquiring minds and inventive style and known for playing a wide range of jazz and improvisational music with symphony orchestras.

The soundtrack for the upcoming film adaptation of The Color Purple will feature an all-star lineup of musicians. "The Color Purple (Music From and Inspired By)" will be released on December 15. Italia, the new album by Vanessa Benelli Mosell, will be released on September 15th in digital format (and from September 22nd on CD). 300 years of Italian piano in a program that surprises for its unusual chronological vastness: starting from the early eighteenth century of Scarlatti's Sonata K 141 and arriving at 2015 with the piece by Ezio Bosso. There is also a tribute to a Neapolitan song, another segment of the great Italian musical heritage, with “I' te vurria vasà” performed by the famous tenor Francesco Meli.
