Habu Distant Thunder

Thunder Groupe de hard rock britannique originaire de Londres, en Angleterre, Thunder se forme en 1989 à l’initiative du guitariste Luke Morley et du chanteur Danny Bowes, suite à la séparation de leur groupe précédent, Terraplane. Ils sont alors rejoints par le batteur Gary James, le bassiste Mark « Snake » Luckhurst (remplacé par Mikael Höglund début 1993 et Chris Child en février 1997) et le guitariste et claviériste Ben Matthews. Le premier album, intitulé Backstreet Symphony, est produit par l’ancien guitariste de Duran Duran, Andy Taylor. Il sort en 1990 et fait son entrée dans les charts au Royaume-Uni où il atteint la 20e place. Sorti en 1992, le deuxième album Laughing on Judgement Day offre au groupe le meilleur classement (n°2) de sa discographie.

Celtic Thunder 'Greatest Hits' showcases decades of wonderful Irish music! Irish favorites include 'Heartland', 'Galway Girl' and 'Whiskey in the Jar'. On the spiritual side, the globally touring group sings 'Hallelujah' and 'Amazing Grace'. Quasars, and the menagerie of other galaxies with "unusual nuclei", now collectively known as Active Galactic Nuclei or AGN, have, in one form or another, sparked the interest of astronomers for over 60 years. The only known mechanism that can explain the staggering amounts of energy emitted by the innermost regions of these systems is gravitational energy release by matter falling towards a supermassive black hole –- a black hole whose mass is millions to billions of times the mass of our Sun. AGN emit radiation at all wavelengths. X-rays originating at a distance of a few times the event horizon of the black hole are the emissions closest to the black hole that we can detect; thus, X-rays directly reveal the presence of active supermassive black holes.
