Currently based in Los Angeles, Laurel Halo has spent over a decade stepping into different towns and cities for a moment or more, to the point where everywhere almost became nowhere. Atlas, the debut release on her new imprint Awe, is an attempt to put that feeling to music. Using both electronic and acoustic instrumentation, Halo has created a potent set of sensual ambient jazz collages, comprised of orchestral clouds, shades of modal harmony, hidden sonic details, and detuned, hallucinatory textures. The music functions as a series of maps, for places real and imaginary, and for expressing the unsaid.

Moon Halo's debut album "Chroma" comes from the creative minds of Iain Jennings (Mostly Autumn), Marc Atkinson (Riversea) and Dave Clements (Riversea). The album also includes musical assistance from Alex Cromarty (ex-Mostly Autumn/Riversea) and Martin Ledger (Heather Findlay Band). Featuring guest appearances by Anne-Marie Helder (Panic Room), Olivia Sparnenn-Josh (Mostly Autumn), Janine Atkinson (Riversea), Tammy Pawson and Mikey Gibson.
With thirteen tracks over its 60-minute running time, all lovingly crafted, the album has touches of electronica, which is certainly different, however its use is subtle and enhancing rather than being overpowering. There are still plenty of guitars in evidence to rock it up, so nothing to worry about here, rather it is far better to embrace this bold direction and let the music surround you with its elegance and its beauty…

Together Again is the second album from Moon Halo, the musical project of vocalist Marc Atkinson and keyboardist Iain Jennings.
