Hamilton Bohannon Keep On Dancin' (1974) [remastered 2013]

2013 two CD collection from the Ivor Novello Award-winning singer, songwriter, producer and presenter Lynsey de Paul. Anthology 1972-74 covers on Disc One the period when Lynsey began first as a writer signed to ATV Music then as a recording artist signed to MAM Records. All the recordings for MAM are included, the singles , the Surprise LP, plus two (pre MAM) previously unreleased recordings Lynsey made in a studio early in 1972 , orchestrated by Nick Drake collaborator Robert Kirby. On Disc Two is the switch in 1973 to Jet Records and the LP Taste Me Don't Waste Me plus singles including the two songs for which Lynsey received Ivor Novello awards, 'No Honestly' and 'Won't Somebody Dance With Me' (on MAM). All recordings have been digitally remastered from original tape sources, the albums packaged with photo's and memorabilia, held in Lynsey's archive .

These are Wet Willie's third and fourth studio releases, originally on the Capricorn label. UK two CD collection from the British Indie band. Taking their name from a Thelonious Monk jazz album, they issued ten singles, five albums and various compilations between 1983 and 1993. Many of them made the Indie Chart, from early efforts with hints of Psychobilly and the Cramps to more melodic, C86-flavoured tracks (think the Smiths and the Housemartins) and later tracks with a hint of Shoegazer and Baggy about them. In Davey Woodward, the Brilliant Corners were fronted by a handsome, charismatic singer who was also a talented songwriter - and Davey's cooperated with this long-overdue anthology, helping with the track listing and supplying the entertaining sleeve-notes. This is the most authoritative Brilliant Corners collection to date, boasting all their singles on the SS20 and McQueen labels plus numerous tracks which have never before been on CD and a handful of previously unissued demos and live tracks.
