Ghost Of The Machine formed in January 2021 when five former members of This Winter Machine - Graham Garbett (guitars), Mark Hagan (keyboards and piano), Stuart McAuley (bass, Moog pedals and Mellotron), Andy Milner (drums) and Scott Owens (guitars) - joined forces with Charlie Bramald (flautist for Nova Cascade, and former lead vocalist for all-eras prog tribute Harmony of Spheres). Taking the best elements from their previous endeavours and key influences such as Rush, Marillion and Genesis, while pushing forward in a heavier, adventurous and exciting direction, Ghost Of The Machine spent it's first year writing and recording Scissorgames.

Jules Massenet's Don Quichotte has never quite established itself in the repertoire, not because of any deficit in the music, but because it's not immediately evident exactly what it is dramatically; is it a comedy or tragedy or some more subtle blend of the two? The last option seems to reflect the usual approach to it, which makes it a hard sell for audiences. Valery Gergiev clearly envisions it a comedy, though one with a poignant ending, and the certainty of his vision make this an exceptionally compelling and coherent presentation of the opera.

Jeff Buckley Since he was the son of cult songwriter Tim Buckley, Jeff Buckley faced more expectations and preconceived notions than most singer/songwriters. Buckley's voice was grand and sweeping, which fit with the mock-operatic grandeur of his Van Morrison-meets-Led Zeppelin music. His audacious debut, Grace, made him one of the most popular alternative artists of the '90s, accentuated by his early and tragic death in 1997, and his cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" virtually redefined the song for a modern audience. Tim Minchin has fast become not just one of the biggest names in Australian comedy but also close to the biggest theatrical drawcard in the country. After winning the Perrier Award for Best Newcomer at Edinburgh Fringe, he went on to regularly perform at festivals including Just For Laughs Festival & HBO Comedy Festival, selling out shows across Australia, the UK & now the US. Locally his television appearances have included Spicks and Specks, Good News Week & recently Adam Hills In Gordon Street Tonight. Tim Minchin & The Heritage Orchestra was recorded at the Manchester Arena in 2010 and presents some of his most recognized tracks in with amazing arrangements from the renowned Heritage Orchestra, who have collaborated with the likes of UNKLE, Mike Patton, Jamie Cullum & the recent Blade Runner score for Massive Attack's Meltdown Festival.
