‘The Joshua Cavanagh-Brierley Group is an amalgamation of musicians forming under the omni-genre outfit penned by (bassist) Joshua Cavanagh-Brierley, Nothing short of a master at his craft, Joshua channels a modern Mingus, with support from a plethora of youthful talent and formidable arrangements.

Captivating, ethereal and majestic, folk-minimalists Mammal Hands draw from spiritual jazz, north Indian, folk and classical music to create something inimitably their own. Hailing from Norwich, one of Britain's most isolated and most easterly cities, they have forged their own path away from the musical mainstream and their unique sound grew out of long improvised rehearsals. Their records are entrancing and beautiful affairs, while their hypnotic live shows have seen them hailed as one of the most exciting bands in Europe as they push their unique line-up to the outer limits of it's possibilities.

As a record collector since the age of 12, i've always been fascinated with the power of music and it's effect on the human spirit. As a DJ, I was amazed at the personal connection my favorite deejays had with their audiences, through their selections and special re-edits. Legends like Walter Gibbons, Tom Moulton, Jonathon Fearing, Francois K, Shep Pettibone, Danny Krivit and others defined the disco edit and gave songs that would have been forgotten character, depth and tonal beauty. A re-edit, when done correctly, can be a powerful way of reconnecting the listener to what they loved about the song, in the first place.

Alabaster DePlume is not doing things properly, and this makes him very happy. DePlume is a Manchester-born, London-based bandleader, composer, saxophonist, activist and orator. He’s a resident at the legendary London creative hub Total Refreshment Centre, a recording artist for the off-grid, Scottish Hebridean island label Lost Map, and now the latest arrival into Chicago-based International Anthem’s growing family of progressive musical explorationists. Whilst much of his music contains vocals – often whispered imperatives – this is a collection of instrumentals, drenched in feeling and recorded over four albums and eight earth years in cities across the UK.

From the beginnings till 1985 - The band Les Sauterelles stood for the decade of the 60ties, when Switzerland's youth was shaken by the rock'n'roll fever.When in summer 1968 Les Sauterelles ruled the Swiss charts with their hit “Heavenly Club”, this success marked both their climax and end. Often referred as the “Swiss Beatles”, Les Sauterelles had been the undisputed kings of the scene for years. It was their resounding success that caused their downfall in the same year – a pattern that would repeat itself on and on throughout the history of pop and rock music in Switzerland. Differences over the direction in which their music was going and the sobering reality of their daily professional routine had led the group to an impasse. Their breakup heralded a similar fate for most other Swiss “beat bands” who had for years been cruising along in the slipstream of their Anglo-American models, albeit with varying degrees of success.
