Amarcord is a popular male vocal ensemble devoted largely to Medieval- and Renaissance-era music. The group also sings works by contemporary composers and performs arrangements of songs from various periods. Amarcord is an unusual ensemble in that it consists of just five singers who sing a cappella. There are two tenors, one baritone, and two basses. The sound is quite individual, imparting a mellow, somewhat Romantic approach to the vocal style, with the two tenor voices often singing the lead parts.

It was Tom Jobim’s own family that suggested Carminho delve into the Jobim songbook, full of classics such as “The Girl from Ipanema”, “Wave”, “Meditation” or “Sabiá” - and underlined it by signing up the Banda Nova to back the singer during the recordings. The Banda Nova was the last of Jobim’s stage and studio backing bands, formed by his son and grandson, Paulo and Daniel Jobim, as well as celebrated cellist Jaques Morelenbaum (who had already collaborated on Carminho’s previous record) and drummer Paulo Braga.

A Love Electric is a critically acclaimed rock trio born out of Mexico City's jazz scene. Todd Clouser, of Minneapolis, MN, USA, Hernan Hecht, a longtime MX resident from Argentina, and Aaron Cruz, a Mexico City native, form a band that over 4 years, 4 records, and nearly 500 concerts, has consistently accomplished the uncommon, making music on their own terms and touring the world. “A savage guitarist, a merciless drummer, an enormous bassist” says Mexico City rock festival giant Vive Latino.
