Mr. Honky Tonk, the long awaited and much anticipated full length album from Dallas Moore. Produced and recorded in Nashville, TN by Dean Miller and featuring all new original material, this recording showcases Dallas Moore in a career defining moment. Moore is joined on this project by long time guitarist Chuck Morpurgo aka Lucky Chucky and several special guests including Mickey Raphael (of Willie Nelson and Family) on Harmonica.

In 2003, the album was ranked number 357 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. It was certified gold in July 1972 and platinum in October 1995 by the RIAA. Honky Chateau became the first of a string of albums by Elton John to hit #1 in the Billboard Charts in the US. In Canada, the album peaked at #3 on the RPM 100 Top Albums Chart, reaching this position on 29 July 1972, dropping two places to #5, then returning to #3 for a further twelve consecutive weeks before falling to #9 on 4 November of the same year.

This 50th Anniversary Edition contains the original album, a newly created selection of outtakes from the original session tapes. The 2 CD set additionally contains 8 live recordings from the Royal Festival Hall show in 1972, where the tracks received their live debut.

Honky is a 1997 compilation album by grunge sludge rockers Melvins. This was the band's first album after leaving from Atlantic Records and is a mixture of their traditional rock, mixed in with their love of occasional weirdness and experimentation. This was released by Amphetamine Reptile.

Growing up with a single mother in San Benito, Texas, the hometown of Tejano star Freddy Fender was not easy for blues singer Charley Crockett. Hitchhiking across the country exposed Crockett to the street life at a young age, following in the footsteps of his relative, American folk hero Davy Crockett, who also lived a wild life on the American frontier. After train hopping across the country, singing on the streets for change in New Orleans’ French Quarter, busking in New York City and performing across Texas and Northern California, Crockett set off to travel the world and lived on the streets of Paris for nearly a year before searching for home in Spain, Morocco, and Northern Africa.
