The starting points were Thaemlitz’ releases „means from an end“ and „couture cosmetique“, which present him as an electro acoustic composer with an amazing sensibility for sound and harsh cutting techniques. This is especially evident in „sloppy 42nds“, and moreover, Thamlitz’ filtering techniques are transformed into a complex, nearly surrealistic instrumental sound in „Superbonus“. Thaemlitz’ provenance as a New York underground DJ is recalled, as well as his political engagement in „Down Home Kami-Sakunobe“ and „Hobo Train“. On this CD you will find the most Pop oriented music - including references to dance and house - zeitkratzer has ever released! But don’t forget to listen to the main track, hidden as “superbonus”…

DICKEY BETTS has been a ramblin' man since quitting high school to play rock 'n' roll in a traveling circus called World of Mirth. He would do about a dozen shows a day on the Teen Beat stage at fairgrounds from Canada all the way down the eastern seaboard. On stages from city to city, this is where Betts has always thrived and cemented his reputation as one of the greatest guitarists of all time. An original member of the Allman Brothers Band, he first found fame and fortune with the release of their 1971 live album "At Fillmore East" Betts played a key role in making the Allman Brothers stadium-filling stars in the mid-'70s then returned the band to prominence in 1989, keeping the group among rock's vanguard through the '90s. As leader of his Great Southern group during the 2000s, Betts continued to play stages around the world, elating fans from Chicago to Tokyo…

Billy Bragg releases a new album Best of Billy Bragg at the BBC 1983-2019. The 38-track collection is ‘fully remastered’ and features 38 tracks compiled from the BBC archive spanning 1983 – 2019. It includes selected highlights from sessions for John Peel, David Jensen, Janice Long, Phill Jupitus, Bob Harris, Tom Robinson and more. Many are previously unreleased. The collection draws from all corners of Billy’s catalogue and features, among many gems, his signature song A New England (later covered to huge acclaim by Kirsty MacColl), Levi Stubbs’ Tears, and his workers’ anthem There Is Power In A Union, with a couple of atypical covers thrown in, namely John Cale’s Fear Is A Man’s Best Friend and A13, his personal psycho-geography take on Route 66.
