What were the first organ concertos? The concerto style can first be heard in interior movements of Handel’s oratorio Il trionfo del Temp e del Disinganno (1707). In Bach’s case it has been assumed that the concerto evolved from instrumental sinfonias from his cantatas. Dirst, however, demonstrates another possibility- concerts in Dresden (1725) before the cantata sinfonias were written. Prepared from the earliest sources, Dirst and Ars Lyrica reconstruct the musical soundscape of this important event, which ultimately spawned Bach’s most popular harpsichord concerto. The Doors were an American rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles, with vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger, and John Densmore on drums. The band got its name, at Morrison's suggestion from the title of Aldous Huxley's book The Doors of Perception, which itself was a reference to a quote made by William Blake, "If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite." Esoteric Antenna is delighted to announce the release of a new 2 CD and DVD live album by Djabe & Steve Hackett; "Life is a Journey: The Budapest Live Tapes". This wonderful concert recording was mainly recorded in Budapest in October 2017, one of a series of live concerts that followed the release of the acclaimed collaboration between Djabe (one of Hungary's most acclaimed Jazz groups) and former Genesis guitarist and acclaimed solo artist Steve Hackett; "Life is a Journey: The Sardinia Tapes", an album which was the result of improvised sessions that took place in a church on the island of Sardinia.

This box set features the six albums Angel released on Neil Bogart’s legendary Casablanca Records label, in addition to a seventh disc that contains mono mixes, single edits, soundtrack contributions, and other rarities.
