Ici Brazza

After a brief lull at the end of the 1930s, a new cluster of Brazza biographies, one of them a film, surfaced during and immediately following the Second World War. The film, Brazza, l'épopée du Congo, directed by Léon Poirier, premiered in January 1940; its 150-page screenplay, thickened by dozens of stills, saw print in book form a few weeks later. The story is familiar, the view of Africa a string of stereotypes. The movie features a bare-breasted African woman whose plaintive chants narrate the film's transitions from one scene to the next.

The film is based on another (unfinished) film, which Jean-Luc Godard, along with Armand Marco, and Jean-Pierre Burning shot in Palestine by the money of Arab League in the beginning of 1970. "Before the victory» / Jusqu'a la victoire /.

Après le braquage d'une banque qui tourne mal, François se refugie chez un ami de son père qui lui aussi est dans les "affaires". La menace de la traque policière va bientôt faire éclater la petite bande de truands. Tournè à la façon d'un documentaire, cette histoire de guerre des gangs, avec des personnages de chair et de sang, accumule les règlements de comptes en une escalade de violence ou seul le visage de la sublimissime (et très dènudèe) Claire Keim illumine ce monde crèpusculaire!
