Chi era, o meglio chi è Sergio Leone? Sono passati esattamente cinquant'anni da "Per un pugno di dollari" che il regista realizzò nel 1964. Nessuno poteva prevedere il suo straordinario successo e che sarebbe diventato il western italiano più conosciuto nel mondo.

Bounty killers led by Loco (Klaus Kinski) prey on outlaws hiding out in the snowbound Utah mountains. After an innocent becomes Loco s latest victim, his wife hires a gunman for revenge. Silence, mute since his throat was cut as a child after witnessing the murder of his parents, decides to take justice into his own hands.

The maestro of Spaghetti Western music in unfamiliar guise: new arrangements of hit themes from Morricone’s greatest film-scores.Born in 1928, Morricone trained at the Santa Cecilia conservatoire in Rome, and soon began to make a name for himself in Italy as both a trumpeter in light-music orchestras and as a composer and arranger. But it was with the soundtrack to A Fistful of Dollars in 1964 that he gained international attention, and thereafter established his reputation with a hatful of contributions to movies which at the same time made the name of Clint Eastwood as a gum-chewing hardball hero. Morricone’s scores defined the mood of Sergio Leone’s pictures: spare, precise, instantly memorable.

Blondie (The Good) is a professional gunslinger who is out trying to earn a few dollars. Angel Eyes (The Bad) is a hit man who always commits to a task and sees it through, as long as he is paid to do so. And Tuco (The Ugly) is a wanted outlaw trying to take care of his own hide. Tuco and Blondie share a partnership together making money off Tuco's bounty, but when Blondie unties the partnership, Tuco tries to hunt down Blondie. When Blondie and Tuco comes across a horse carriage loaded with dead bodies, they soon learn from the only survivor (Bill Carson) that he and a few other men have buried a stash of gold in a cemetery. Unfortunately Carson dies and Tuco only finds out the name of the cemetery, while Blondie finds out the name on the grave. Now the two must keep each other alive in order to find the gold. Angel Eyes (who had been looking for Bill Carson) discovers that Tuco and Blondie meet with Carson and knows they know the location of the gold…
