This is DORO's 20th album! Epic 2018 album from German metal queen featuring 25 tracks including 'Soldier Of Metal' & 'Lost In The Ozone'. German heavy metal/hard rock goddess Doro Pesch is best known for her years with the power metal band Warlock, but she has had a long solo career and continued to command a loyal following (especially in Europe) long after the group's demise. After releasing four albums with Warlock in the 1980s, Pesch set out on her own, touring and recording under her first name, beginning with 1989's Force Majeure. Dialing back on the gothic fantasy metal of Warlock, Pesch adopted a more pop-metal/hard rock sound, which she would continue to hone well into the next century. Shifting musical tastes in the early '90s resulted in Pesch finding most of her success in the European market, where metal still reigned supreme, but as the 2000s progressed, Doro once again found favor abroad via late-career standouts like Warrior Soul and Raise Your Fist.
German metal queen Doro Pesch celebrated the 30th anniversary of performing live during 2013 and 2014 by touring the world extensively for a year and by playing three official anniversary shows. The tour kicked off impressively in front of 85,000 people at the world's biggest metal festival, Wacken Open Air, followed by two sold-out nights in her hometown, Dusseldorf, where she also started her outstanding career. And everyone came to party with Doro: Phil Campbell (MOTÖRHEAD), Biff Byford (SAXON), Chris Caffery (SAVATAGE), Blaze Bayley (ex-IRON MAIDEN), Joakim Brodén (SABATON), Hansi Kürsch (BLIND GUARDIAN), Udo Dirkschneider, Uli Jon Roth, LORDI as well as many more amazing guests — the list of stars who celebrated the metal queen on stage comes across like a "Who's Who" of the rock and metal scene.
In honor of her 30 year stage jubilee, Doro Pesch will celebrate with fans from all over the world with two shows on May 2nd - the "Classic Night" with Orchestra - and May 3rd - the "Rock Night" with many guests - at CCD Stadthalle in her hometown Düsseldorf.Just in time for the celebration, there will be an anniversary record from the rock queen. The "Raise Your Fist – 30 Years Anniversary-Edition" contains the re-release of the "Raise Your Fist" record, as well as a bonus CD entitled "Powerful Passionate Favorites." There you find new and unreleased tracks, but also Doro cover versions of her favorite artists, such as Led Zeppelin, Tina Turner, Metallica, and Dio.
Doro Pesch has announced that she’ll soon release a new four-track EP. It’s titled Backstage To Heaven and will launch on March 8 via Nuclear Blast to coincide with her European tour. It's Doro's first release since last year's Forever Warriors, Forever United album. The EP will include two studio tracks: Backstage To Heaven featuring Helge Schneider and Heartbroken, which sees a guest appearance from Doug Aldrich. The other two songs are live cuts: Blood, Sweat And Rock’N’Roll and If I Can’t Have You No One Will, which features Amon Amarth’s Johan Hegg.
