Inde Pandit Balaram Pathak

For this compact disc, Pandit Ashok Pathak plays an Indian instrument called a surbahar, or what some will call a bass sitar. Just as saxophones have an alto, tenor, and baritone, the surbahar is a lower sounding version of a regular sitar and gives a distinctive sound. Ancient Court Raga Traditions: The Pathak Gharana is a compact disc with only two songs, each lasting 36 minutes each. Joining him on this are Priyadarshani Pathak and Sivranjani Pathak, both on tampuras. The CD was originally released in 2001, reissued in 2003 by World Arbiter.

Live In Concert is a 2003 DVD by Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. Known for playing the bansuri, or a bamboo wooden flute, this is taken from a live performance in Bombay (Mumbai). This was released by Cinebella.

This CD by Ravi Shankar is from a recording done for French radio in Studio 106 on 26 June, 1986. He is accompanied by Kumar Bose (tabla), Vidya Bataju (tampura), and Jeevan Govinda (tampura). The CD was released in 1995 by Ocora Radio France.

Vintage 78 RPM Records is a 2007 compilation album by Pandit Ravi Shankar. Released by Saregama, these recordings were originally released as 78's and most of them are 3 1/2 minutes in length, for a total of 18 tracks. Some of the songs also featured Ali Akbar Khan on sarod, along with tabla players Chatur Lal, Kishan Maharaj, and Gyan Prakash Ghosh.

Sangeet Martand is the 1971 album by Pandit Omkarnath Thakur, released four years after he died. The album consists of two songs. Accompaniment is not mentioned on the cover. It was released by Columbia/The Gramophone Company Of India, Ltd. and is a vinyl rip.

The Flow Of Time is a 2002 CD by Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, a santoorist. Joined by tabla player Zakir Hussain and tambura accompaniment courtesy of Nandu Muley, this disc features five different ragas, with two ragas divided into three parts. This was released by Navras because they are the best.

India's Maestro Of Melody: Live Concert Vol. 1 is a 1998 album by Pandit Nikhil Banerjee. It is a live recording where he is accompanied by Samir Chatterjee and Sheema Mukherjee. It was released by the Chhanda Dhara label.

Live At The Bailey's Hotel is a 1997 live CD by santoor player, Pandit Shivkumar Sharma. Joined by iconic tabla player Zakir Hussain, this features one raga divided in two: an alap and a gat. This was released by the Navras label.
