Inferno: Special Illustrated Edition (enhanced)

Considered by many as being one of the best expressions of Italian progressive music. After have been known at the Festival Be-In of Naples (June 1973), they recorded one single album with the same band name, released by Trident, revealing great musical passages mainly using synthesizers. Their debut is considered a small jewel, blending symphonic prog with hard rock. Influences range from Gentle Giant, to Jethro Tull and Banco del Mutuo Soccorso.

Ten studio albums of original material, thousands of live shows and over three decades into a career that's made them one of the biggest and most important metal bands in the world - the music of thrash metal legends Slayer is as brutal as it is beautiful, as punishing as it is precise, and as uncompromising as it is influential. Christ Illusion was the band's first studio album to feature original drummer Dave Lombardo since 1990's Seasons In The Abyss.

Metamorfosi's Inferno is a remarkable record that sits somewhere in the middle between Italian rock, opera and synth-dominated heavy prog. It is often called dark and sinister, an impression further enhanced by the bleak artwork, and it certainly is quite gothic from a 70s perspective. Of course, by today's standards it is fairly mild and friendly. Inferno is a conceptual album, based on Dante's "La Divina Commedia".
