Dispatches special investigating the other side of the war against the so-called Islamic State, looking into allegations of torture, execution and sectarian cleansing by the Shia militia against their fellow Iraqis. The film reports from outside Mosul, where Sunni refugees fleeing Isis face a new threat - potential imprisonment and torture by the militia. Reporter Ramita Navai goes undercover to meet victims and discovers that some groups are using the opportunity of the war against Isis to settle sectarian and historic scores.

A reinvigorated Pete returns to Iraq with his girlfriend Alex at his side. In Syria, an unexpected snafu leaves PJ weighing his options. Facing inevitable defeat in both countries, ISIS is determined to cause as much damage as possible on its way down. But signs of life are reappearing in areas freed from terrorist rule. In the minds of the volunteers as well, hope begins to creep in as they take stock of what they’ve accomplished and what lies ahead.
