It's About Damn Time

For over 40 years Time Life has been releasing music collections in many different genres of music. Their latest is a bonanza for hard rock and hair metal fans. Hard And Heavy is 152 songs on 9 CDs.
Hard And Heavy is a massive collection of songs from the '70s and '80s. It includes classic rock artists like Foreigner and Bad Company, pop artists like Pat Benatar and Billy Idol, hair bands such as Winger, Warrant, Skid Row and Poison along with more traditional metal bands such as Judas Priest, Motorhead, Megadeth and Queensryche.

Former PiL bassist, post punk icon and general cool cat Jah Wobble is set to release Everything is Nothing, his new album with his ever-morphing, genre-enveloping combo Invaders of the Heart on August 26. Made with producer Youth, it’s a super jazzy record and the lineup this time out is pretty damn impressive, featuring Hawkwind’s Nik Turner and the incomparable Tony Allen on drums.

As its title makes clear, Children of Nuggets is the first Nuggets release to stretch beyond the '60s heyday of garage rock and psychedelic music. Instead of once again returning to that seemingly bottomless well – which has not only brought the original 1972 double LP, Nuggets, but such imitators as the Pebbles and Rubble series, plus Rhino's expanded four-disc 1998 box set and its 2001 sequel, which focused on singles from the U.K. and around the world – the four-disc box Children of Nuggets is devoted to bands from the '70s, '80s, and '90s (but primarily the '80s) that were inspired by the original Nuggets LP, along with other trashy, intoxicating rock and guitar pop from the '60s…
