Dixie Chicks first came together as a bluegrass quartet in Texas in 1989, later becoming a trio in 1995 when founding members (and sisters) Emily Robison (banjo/dobro) and Martie Maguire (fiddle/mandolin) were joined by 21-year-old Natalie Maines (daughter of guitarist/producer Lloyd Maines) as the group's new lead vocalist and guitarist. By the late 1990s, the classic Dixie Chicks trio lineup struck a stunning balance between the traditional Nashville sound and the contemporary influences of alternative rock and pop. In 2016, Columbia/Legacy have reissued the Dixie Chicks classic four studio albums: Wide Open Spaces (1998), Fly (1999), Home (2002) and Taking The Long Way (2006), newly remastered and available on vinyl and digital download.

Split fairly neatly between his contemporaries and those who followed in his footsteps, Looking into You: A Tribute to Jackson Browne is a generous tribute to the quintessential singer/songwriter, running 23 songs over the course of two CDs.

"Looking Into You", the first ever tribute album honoring Jackson Browne, features a mix of Browne's old friends, fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, and younger admirers offering their own interpretations of 23 hits and album cuts from the songwriter's extensive catalog. Among those who lent their talents to this double-disc set are Ben Harper, Don Henley with Blind Pilot, Lyle Lovett, Keb' Mo', Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen & Patti Scialfa, and Lucinda Williams.

Out of all of the Eagles, Don Henley had the most successful solo career. After the group initially broke up in 1982, Henley released his first solo album, "I Can't Stand Still". Although it wasn't as successful as an Eagles record, the album performed respectably, launching the number three single "Dirty Laundry" and going gold.

Alongside Paul Mauriat, Raymond Lefèvre and Franck Pourcel, Caravelli (real name: Claude Vasori) was one of France's most popular musical exports, his light orchestral albums selling in their millions around the world. But whereas the classical influence was more pronounced in the music of Mauriat and Lefèvre particularly, the Caravelli sound instead leaned in favour of Latin and jazz, a reflection of his great liking for those styles. This Vocalion's reissue features pair of Caravelli's album - Caravelli At San Remo (1967) and J'aime (1966).
