Giovanni "Jack" Savoretti is an English solo acoustic singer of Italian descent. "Sleep No More", his 3rd album, features original songs that are set to establish Jack as one of the UK's biggest male artists. On this career -defining album, Jack Savoretti has well and truly found his voice, both as a singer and as a songwriter. Jack worked with a variety of producers including Mark Ralph (Years and Years/Take That), Sam Dixon (Adele), Matty Benbrook (Paolo Nutini), Cam Blackwood (George Ezra) and Steve Robson (James Bay, John Newman and James Morrison).

Jack Rutter is a highly respected folk singer, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist from West Yorkshire. 'Gold of Scar & Shale' is his second solo album. Produced by Joe Rusby and recorded as live, the new album continues the stripped back approach of its critically acclaimed predecessor, Jack's debut solo outing Hills. The songs are unearthed gems from the folk canon - almost all of them rare and many previously unrecorded - gathered from old books and source singers as Rutter uncovered material for this major new release of traditional song. There is a strong sense of place on the new record too, with over half of the songs having some sort of Yorkshire connection. Featured guest musicians on the album are Sam Sweeney on fiddle, Alice Robinson on Northumbrian pipes and Sam Fisher on flugelhorn.

The biggest news of this CD by trumpeter Jack Walrath is that Willie Nelson sings and plays guitar on two numbers: "I'm Sending You a Big Bouquet of Roses" and "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry." The other selections feature Walrath (who composed all but the two Nelson features) with a larger group than normal; a septet that includes altoist Kenny Garrett, tenor saxophonist Carter Jefferson, trombonist Steve Turre, pianist James Williams, bassist Anthony Cox and drummer Ronnie Burrage. As usual Walrath's music stretches the boundaries of hard bop without tossing away its roots. Among the more memorable titles are "Meat," "The Lord's Calypso" and "Monk on the Moon."
