Maxim Emelyanychev and Il Pomo d’Oro continue their uncommon Mozart symphony cycle. The idea is the following: put together great symphonies of the late Mozart and youth pieces. Maxim Emelyanychev, who has already gathered the first and the last symphonies – the beginning and the end –, has chosen to record the symphony no. 29 and the legendary no. 40 in the present volume.

The debut album from countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński – born in Warsaw, trained at New York’s Juilliard School, and 2016 winner of the Metropolitan Opera's prestigious National Council Auditions – Anima sacra features what are believed to be world premiere recordings of eight Baroque arias, notably by composers of the Neapolitan school. Orliński is partnered by Il pomo d’oro conducted by Maxim Emelyanychev.

Facce d’amore, ‘Faces of love’ follows Jakub Józef Orliński’s first solo album, Anima Sacra, which moved Gramophone magazine to announce that “This is a voice with a big future.” It brings a switch from the sacred to the personal and passionate. As the Polish-born, New York-trained countertenor says, the programme – which includes eight world premiere recordings – comprises “operatic arias that tell a story, showing a musical picture of a male lover in the baroque era – not only the positive side, like joyful or reciprocated love, but also anger or even madness.” Spanning some 85 years of the baroque period, the arias on Facce d’amore are by Handel, Cavalli, Alessandro Scarlatti, Bononcini, Conti, Hasse, Orlandini, Predieri and Matteis. Orliński is again partnered by the instrumentalists of Il Pomo d’Oro and their Principal Conductor Maxim Emelyanychev.

"The perfect casting" wrote Opera Magazine about Jakub Józef Orlinski's interpretation of Orfeo in San Francisco. The Polish countertenor is tailor-made for the character of the mythical singer. Orfeo quickly developed into one of his signature roles, which Jakub Józef Orlinski has embodied in various productions around the world. Now the countertenor himself is releasing a recording of Gluck's Orfeo & Euridice - as producer, casting director, artistic co-director (alongside conductor Stefan Plewniak) and, of course, interpreter of the main role.

#LetsBaRock is the artistic project of Jakub Jozef Orlinski and Aleksander Depicz in which baroque music is elevated to a completely different level. Orlinski and Debicz have now interpreted baroque music in modern ways, but above all, they have decided to put the emphasis on its timeless character. He created the reprises of baroque pieces, in them anchored in the musical styles of the 21st century. This is why we invited the best musicians of the Polish musical scene to join us: Marcin Utanowski (drums) and Wojciech Guminski (bass). Ensemble, they developed a unique New Baroque sound and perfection in the legendary Church Studios in London.

In this new interpretation of Antonio Vivaldi's famous Stabat Mater, hedonism gives way to a dolorism to which the Red-haired Priest had not often accustomed us. Accompanied by the Capella Cracoviensis conducted with infinite care by Jan Tomasz Adamus, the Polish countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński gives a new dimension to this music thanks to a very skilful ornamentation enriching Vivaldi's long, rather simple vocal lines.
