Kateřina Kněžíková's lyric coloratura soprano has delighted audiences in numerous music centres worldwide, both at opera houses and concert venues. She has appeared with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Bamberger Symphoniker, Camerata Salzburg, the Czech Philharmonic, the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, etc. under the baton of conductors of such renown as J. Bělohlávek, S. Baudo, M. Honeck, J. Hrůša, T. Netopil and R. Ticciati.

Recalling several equally majestic pieces by Smetana, the arresting Festive Overture combines Czech flair with Viennese elegance, while From Shakespeare explores characterization with warmth and resourceful orchestration. The early Symphony No.1 in D minor offers a darkness-to-light trajectory suffused with rich mid-Romantic colors.

This is truly a magnificent album. Both soft and soothing on one hand and uplifting on the other. And Jana Dugal's choirarrangements absolutely beatiful, focusing on both the innocence and the beaty of the girls voices. These delightful and ethereal compositions featuring the sound of strings and heavenly choirs are spiritually uplifting and sacred. Recommended for both healing, relaxation and meditating.
