The full details of the soundtrack album for Carol Morley’s neo-noir drama Out of Blue have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Clint Mansell (Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan, The Fountain, Moon, Noah). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 15 by Lakeshore Records and is now available for pre-order here. A vinyl edition is also in the works. Out of Blue is written and directed by Morley and stars Patricia Clarkson, Toby Jones, Jacki Weaver, James Caan, Mamie Gummer, Aaron Tveit, Yolanda Ross, Jonathan Majors and Devyn Tyler. The movie revolves around a homicide detective’s investigation into the shooting of a leading astrophysicist and black-hole expert. The drama premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and will be released in select theaters and on VOD on March 22 by IFC Films.

The release of the movie MILES AHEAD, Don Cheadle's wildly entertaining and moving exploration of Miles Davis, will be accompanied by this new soundtrack featuring musical highlights from Miles' career and new recordings overseen by Grammy Award-winning jazz/hip-hop artist Robert Glasper. This is a perfect primer on Davis' career for the new fan and a brilliant audio keepsake of the film for those who've studied his works inside and out. The album features 11 tracks from across Miles' catalogue from 1956 to 1981, select dialogue from the film featuring Cheadle in character, and five original compositions written, co-written, produced or performed exclusively for MILES AHEAD by Robert Glasper. These cues include "What's Wrong with That?" a jam that closes the movie imagining Cheadle as Miles playing in the present day with guest performers Glasper, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Gary Clark, Jr. and Esperanza Spalding; plus "Gone 2015," an end-credits song featuring guest verses from rapper Pharoahe Monch. Moana: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is the soundtrack to the 2016 Disney animated film Moana. The soundtrack was released by Walt Disney Records on November 19, 2016. It features songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mark Mancina and Opetaia Foa'i, with lyrics in English, Samoan, Tokelauan language and 'An Innocent Warrior' with lyrics in Tuvalu. The two-disc deluxe edition includes the score, which was composed by Mancina, as well as demos, outtakes and instrumental karaoke tracks. The album debuted on the Billboard 200 chart at number 16 and peaked at number 2, kept off the top spot by The Weeknd's Starboy. The quirky Hoover family's travels from New Mexico to California in order to support 7-year-old Olive's dream of being in a beauty pageant and the events that occur during the trip provide the back line to the soundtrack to the film Little Miss Sunshine. With the exceptions of the pop-dance "Catwalkin'" and the remix of "Superfreak," which presumably are played during the actual competition, the music that accompanies the film is pretty, introspective, and vaguely sad – the perfect choice for a 2006 Sundance-celebrated film.
