Christine & The Queens is the alt-moniker of French singer/songwriter/actress Heloise Letissier and her debut album „Chaleur Humaine“ ('Human Heat') is an impressive first outing in the Listening World. Ms. Letissier makes a pretty noise; an approachable and tuneful take on electro-pop which might also appeal to admirers of Imogen Heap. There are eleven songs in the set, some sung in her native tongue and others in English, so a dictionary comes in handy here and there. The album has been released as self-titled (Christine and the Queens) in the United States.

This book has been defined around three important issues: the first sheds light on how people, in various philosophical, religious, and political contexts, understand the natural environment, and how the relationship between the environment and the body is perceived; the second focuses on the perceptions that a particular natural environment is good or bad for human health and examines the reasons behind such characterizations ; the third examines the promotion, in history, of specific practices to take advantage of the health benefits, or avoid the harm, caused by certain environments and also efforts made to change environments supposed to be harmful to human health.

​The mining sector has been an integral part of economic development in many African countries. Although minerals have been exploited for decades in these countries, the benefits have not always been as visible. This has necessitated reforms including nationalisation of mining activities in the distant past; and currently legal and regulatory reforms. This book gives an insight of these reforms and with reference to the fieldwork research undertaken by the author in some African countries, the book highlights the social and environmental impacts of mining activities in Africa.

This book investigates the legal evolution of the “free soil principle” in England, France and the Low Countries during the Early Modern period (ca. 1500–1800), which essentially stated that, as soon as slaves entered a certain country, they would immediately gain their freedom. This book synthesizes the existing literature on the origins and evolution of the principle, adds new insights by drawing on previously undiscussed primary sources on the development of free soil in the Low Countries and employs a pan-Western, European and comparative approach to identify and explain the differences and similarities in the application of this principle in France, England and the Low Countries. Divided into four sections, the book begins with a brief introduction to the subject matter, putting it in its historical context.

Years after the breakup of Siouxsie and the Banshees, the three core members (Siouxsie Sioux, Steven Severin and Budgie) plus final Banshees guitarist Knox Chandler reunited for an abbreviated tour of the US and the UK in 2002. The Seven Year Itch is a live album composed of performances recorded at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on July 9 and 10, 2002. Released by Sanctuary Records in 2003 (in CD and DVD formats), both critics and fans praised the tour and album as the Banshees concentrated not on radio hits, but both popular and obscure B-sides and album tracks, many pulled from their early albums.
