Despair, loss, love, and existential struggles have always been the foundation of Harakiri For The Sky’s distinctive sound. Since their formation in 2011, multi-instrumentalist M.S. and vocalist J.J. have gained recognition for pushing musical boundaries with their emotionally charged blend of atmospheric extreme metal and melodic post-rock, grunge and modern hardcore, carving out a genre of their own.
Taking four years to craft their next epic chapter after 2021’s "Maere" (which peaked at #4 on the official German charts), Harakiri For The Sky will now release their new tour-de-force, "Scorched Earth", on January 24th through AOP Records. The album is a snapshot of the world we are living in, a world that’s tragically broken…

Escape Music is delighted to announce the release date for the much-loved British Melodic Rock band Bite The Bullet, titled ‘Rocky Road'! Limited edition to 1000 CD copies only all will be numbered 1-1000 - Rocky Road is the new album from Bite The Bullet whose previous offerings include ‘Bite The Bullet’ 1989 and 2019 (Jet Records/CBS and Rock Candy Records), ’Black and White’ 2021 (Escape Music) and ’End of the Line’ 2022 (Escape Music). Originally formed in 1986 by Mick Benton, who had previously released a solo EP on Atlantic Records, and Graham Cowling along with Malcolm Jones the band’s first album was widely acclaimed at the time on both sides of the Atlantic and received air play on major radio stations. However, with demise of Jet Records and lack of publicity from CBS, coupled with the loss of worldwide support tour with the supergroup ELO, the band went into a 30-year hiatus.
Remastered from the original tapes and including the 1983 U.S. Tour-E.P. in it’s entirity!
The world of contemporary prog seems to solidify on bands who either comply to the museum piece values of the 1970s progressive rock or make it a priority to deny being a part of the movement at all - and then there’s The Tangent, an English progressive rock outfit, which wears a plethora of hats simultaneously. In short, the band plays modern symphonic prog somewhat similar to Spock's Beard and The Flower Kings, taking the occasional stab at the classic Canterbury blend of jazz and rock. Apart from the obvious vintage prog influences, you can hear subtle traces of bands such as The Isley Brothers, Steely Dan, and Return to Forever. That is to say, The Tangent is eclectic prog of the finest caliber…
Brand new 2023 release from this amazing Belgian surf/instrumental rock combo - drums, bass, organ and twangy guitars. The Akulas are Udo (Gretsch drums), Willem (Framus Star bass driven by a Fender Bassman 100), Benjamin (Nord organ) and Ruben (Fender Jaguar & Jazzmaster driven by a Fender Dual Showman Reverb and a Fender Reverb Tank). Think reverb soaked guitar twang. Think pounding drum beats. Think cheesy organ sounds. Think thumping bass vibes. Shake all of that together – do not stir. Serve cool. That’s The Akulas.
