Jameszoo (Mitchel van Dinther) returns to Brainfeeder with a new album – “Blind” – embarking on further adventures on the fringes of jazz and electronica. Imbued with the same spirit of adventure and experimental outlook as his previous work on the label, the recordings were shaped by van Dinther’s studio sessions at Willem Twee Studios – the specialist analogue studio in Den Bosch (Netherlands) with an unrivalled collection of vintage synthesizers – amongst other locations.

This international quartet first stepped on a stage in July 2021, on a tour of seven cities in Portugal supported by the GDA Foundation. Their support gave Portuguese trumpeter LUIS VICENTE the opportunity to put together a stellar band of JOHN DIKEMAN, a renowned North American saxophonist based in Amsterdam, with whom Vicente has built a fruitful relationship alongside William Parker and Hamid Drake; the North American bassist, LUKE STEWART, highlighted by Downbeat magazine as “one of the 25 most influential jazz musicians of his generation”, dued to his collaborations with Irreversible Entanglements, Moor Mother, Rob Mazurek’s Exploding Star and Jaimie Branch; and ONNO GOVAERT, an outstanding Dutch drummer and a frequent figure on many European stages.

After hundreds of shows and thousands of kilometers on tour, KUHN FU celebrates its 10th anniversary with a bang: The double album "Jazz is Expensive/Live in Saalfelden" will be released on October 14th by BERTHOLD records.

Het Argentijnse koppel Ada Rave (saxofoon) en Nicolas Chientaroli (piano) verkasten in 2013 van Buenos Aires naar Amsterdam en sindsdien zijn zij vaak geziene gasten in het improcircuit. Samen met contrabassist Raoul van der Weide vormen zij het trio New Rumours And Other Noises, dat deze maand zijn eerste cd presenteert op Casco Records.
