Ever since his emergence into in the fertile London scene of the 1980s with the seminal Loose Tubes, saxophonist/composer Julian Argüelles has maintained his position in the front rank of contemporary musicians with a career that has matched a comprehensive musicality with an endlessly inquisitive, searching disposition.

One of Britain’s most creative and distinctive pianists, Julian Jacobson is acclaimed for the vitality, colour and insight he brings to his enormous repertoire ranging across all styles and periods.

Veteran guitarist Nels Cline (Wilco, The Nels Cline Singers) and youthful virtuoso Julian Lage (Gary Burton, Mark O'Connor, Jim Hall) release 'Room', their first album as a duo. The setup on 'Room' is simple. Lage is on the left channel, Cline on the right. The sound is pristine, alive with personality and contrast, improvisational daring and jaw-dropping precision.

“Little Flower” was created during Julian Erdem's three-year stay in New York City. To the drummer and composer, the term "little flower" is a metaphor for our fragile, unprotected, and therefore “true” self. The varied music of “Little Flower” creates an atmosphere floating between melancholy, hope, and forgiveness.

Die populäre Sonate für Violoncello und Klavier op. 6 von Richard Strauss von 1883 galt bisher als seine einzige Cellosonate. Was bislang nicht bekannt war: Sie war tatsächlich seine zweite Cellosonate. Denn Richard Strauss schrieb zuvor, nämlich 1881 als 16-jähriger die jetzt erstmal eingespielte Sonate F-Dur für Clavier und Violoncello, ursprünglich für einen Kompositionswettbewerb.
